Revision — 25 October 2026: This article has been revised to describe Brassburg’s present research focus. Earlier claims of practitioner credentials and a packaged trade, inspection, logistics or compliance service have been removed because supporting evidence has not been provided.
A focused research question
How can a business reader make better sense of the copper industry between China and Europe?
Brassburg approaches that question through copper, brass and recycled materials: the specifications attached to a product, the basis attached to a price and the assumptions attached to a cross-border comparison. Its first purpose is to publish useful research that readers can examine and discuss.
An editorial approach readers can inspect
- Follow the source. Link to original references wherever possible and make the date and scope of a statement clear.
- Separate evidence from interpretation. Explain what a source establishes, what is an editorial inference and what remains unresolved.
- Make comparisons meaningful. Keep currencies, units, product specifications, timing and delivery assumptions visible.
- Record substantive revisions. Correct unsupported statements and explain meaningful changes rather than silently replacing them.
The name combines brass with Burg, the German word for a castle or fortified town. The research scope extends beyond brass to the copper industry and the recycled materials connecting its markets.
Two editions, distinct questions
The Chinese edition initially focuses on copper product exporters and recycled-copper buyers. The English edition develops questions relevant to European readers, including procurement and materials comparisons.
The editions may publish independently. Genuine translated versions are linked to one another; an article without a translation points readers to the other edition’s research collection without presenting a different article as its equivalent.
Start with Research, explore the Methodology, or read the Chinese edition. Questions, sources and suggestions for corrections can be sent to contact@brassburg.com. Any future project collaboration will require a separately agreed scope based on the work that can actually be delivered.
